This blogons to the Placement / Reviews / Examples Forum ;)

Nice sites, what's your current CTR and what CTR are you looking for.
On your blog there is not much to improve. Test with different colors maybe, otherwise the positioning is good.

The 160x600 banner on the right on your Article Directory should have the same background. It's not blended at all now.

Hi mharrisr, I'll see if I can help. :)

First off, on your resources-zone blog, I noticed that there aren't many ads 'above the fold' which means that visitors must scroll down the page before they can even see the majority of ads. This is a big advertising no-no. The obvious remedy to this is to try and re-locate your ads as high as possible, right in their face.

Another optimal way of improving your CTR is by seamlessly blending your ads with your page; edit your AdSense code's link, text and background colours to reflect that of your site to further maximize your CTR.

Feel free to check out any of my Devil May Cry, Fable or Resident Evil sites to get a better understanding of this. I'm still constantly tweaking the layouts to better optimize the CTR but I'm pretty satisfied with what I have so far.

    Hope I could help.

    Steve

none of you ad links match your page links. That would be the first thing I change.

    Hi Digital1,

Thanks for your comment. In blogs we can show only one article in a page, but anyone can navigate thgough the sidebar links. So it is possible to show one ad block per article but cannot show more than 3 ads in a page its against google TOS. If you have any more suggestion please feel free to post.

The basic problem with directories/ezines is that most of your sites visitors are webmaster. The main objective of these webmasters is to get a back link/submit articles. As a results, these sites have high page views but low CTR. You can go for CPM model.
By the way, what is current CTR ?
