Hi, I've recently started a marketing internship at a fairly big company who have a big news & events site which is fairly well respected by Google (pr 5) and google seems to send a lot of traffic our way on a daily basis. I've taken up the task of composing an Analytics report for the company, which hasn't been done yet. What do you guys think the main areas I definitely need to cover in this report are? I'm currently looking at: basic things like demographic distribution, traffic sources (pointing out the good and bad), bounce rates (discussing what can be done to improve this) by source, comparing current traffic to last year to see the differences Top content and time spent on them to see which pages need to be improved, what can be done better to keep traffic engaged and clicking Visitor loyalty Really, any suggestions to improve this report can go a long way. I know there are figures I'm not looking at yet which can be a great indicator of the quality of the site.
Thanks, I've actually covered length and depth of visit (I take it that's the same metric?) I'd love any suggestions or links in terms of custom segmentation and custom reporting.
