    Hey Guys

After doing all on-site SEO, I have been able to get onto 1st page of goolge, msn for specific keywords on the merit of fresh/original content.

However gradually my SERP starts dropping down.

I think this is purely because of virtually no back links.

Any remedies for it? How do I beat competitor who has 54K back links (daamn all those people linking!)

Any pointers?? Your suggestions are highly appreciated.

Participating on forums like this and putting your link as the signature is a good start. You can also do directory submission, article submissions and exchange links.

Wow, you will certainly have your work cut out for you when your competitor has the 54K back links advantage. But as angelfire said, a good start would be directory submissions as well as link exchanging with quality sites of a similar nature.

Don't be scared about the quantity of their links. The quality is important too. Start with acquiring high quality, relevant, ideally high PR backlinks.

How do you obtain high PR links without paying $20 a month for one (getting 5 high PR links will set you back $100 or so - thats just too much)? I don't mind paying that if they were permanent, but I feel that money could be put to better use.

Well we would like to know how did you manage to beat the 54K guy by just on page optimization... without having any backlinks... well that's to good..

You have to pay for the link to high pr sites... No subs to that... You can also consider of submitting your site to directory having good prs that submit for free

    Take care
