Hello, I am planning to buy a new desktop. Here is the configuration what I was thinking of. Also I provide the rates provided by my vendor. * Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 Ghz Processor - Rs.5,900 * 4 GB RAM - Rs.2,400 * Intel DG35 Original motherboard - Rs.4,850 * 256 DDR3 video card - Rs.4,400 * 320 GB HDD - Rs.2,700 I wish to connect the desktop to my sony Bravia 46" LCD TV(1080i FULLHD) via HDMI. Can I get full HD support via my graphic card??? Suggest me a good company of the video card. Please suggest me any change that I need to the configuration. Suggest me a good sound card too. Also If you are in INDIA let me know if the prices I mentioned here are too high. I just want to double check the prices of my vendor too Thanks in advance.....
I'm in Ontario, Canada, so I don't know how prices compare. But the difference in price between what you are getting and the next size up is not much so I would go with the next size up. In Ontario they are, hopefully its the same there. * Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 Ghz Processor - Rs.5,900 I'm guessing this is the E7300 Its an OK choice. * 4 GB RAM - Rs.2,400 * Intel DG35 Original motherboard - Rs.4,850 * 256 DDR3 video card - Rs.4,400 its like only $20 more to goto a 512 * 320 GB HDD - Rs.2,700 like only $10 to $15 more to goto a 500 GB Try to get a good Power Supply, not a light weight generic one, your computer will last years longer with a good one. 90% of all cases come with power supplies so ask how much to upgrade you should only have to pay maybe $40 more. and all Motherboards come with sound already, so unless you are working with music, I'd just stick with it. even if you are working with music I'd at least try it first. most if not all new motherboards support up to 6 channel audio now. using the integrated audio.
Sorry, as for your sony lcd. it should have a DVI Plug, and or a standard 15 Pin SVGA plug. So you should be able to use any video card. although HDMI or DVI would be better.
It's an OK configuration. Not a killer gaming beast or anything, but as long as you're not planning on gaming a lot, it should be fine. PC's can output higher resolution than traditional HD anyway, so that's not a problem man.
Yeah, they might not fit up directly, but the TV will have an HDMI input (it should anyway!) and the vid. card will have DVI output. You might have to get a DVI to HDMI conversion cable, but those are cheap and easy to install.
If the CPU you are looking at is the E8200 I'd make sure you go with DDR 3 1333 Ram, you will have to much of a bottle neck in performance if you stick with DDR 2 800. Its about a $25 per piece upgrade. And I'd go with a 4 GB kit as apposed to just getting 2, 2 GB pieces. this way they will be pared & in sync. this does cost more though.
Cpu Processor develops fast, it is never a problem . When you DIY a computer , the bottle neck is the FSB (front side bus) of motherbroad and the frequence of RAM . FSB, frequence of RAM and CPU Clock Speed(out clock, not main clock)must match.
