i own a movies website and not that good at tech things just trying to learn more

 

Ah if only things were that simple.

If you can let us know what your skills and strengths are then we might be able to suggest something.

Can you write to a good standard? Are you good at selling? Can you write interesting social media posts? You could even start by giving a rough idea of a budget.

 

It's important to pick the right niche (topic) to begin with, you need to know is there a market for your product / service or not? Some niches might be more competitive than others though that's not to say you can't be successful at them, though like anything else it will take time building.
That said it's important to find something you know people will be interested in, otherwise you are going to have trouble trying to monetize it. Try using Google search to find out the kind of things people are searching for. There are also free tools like Google Keyword Planner that could give you a heads up.

Persistence, planning are key, otherwise your efforts are going to be short lived.
