Suggest me MobilePhone/PDA

i Would prefer 5800XM no second thoughts if i had only those two options
i havnt used HTC touch Diamond

in india reparing these HTC phones cost more and also finding a shop will be frustrating
i prefer 5800 because i feel safer with Nokia as it is the most popular.
my only concern is the Camera of 5800 if you dont mind it then go for it !.
in a month or two there will be more and more applications for S60 5th OS

I went to 2 mobile shops[one-mobilenext. www.compareindia.com

They told me that 5800 hasn't good reviews and it's a failure from nokia..

 

that's what I told you before -
1st touch screen = Experiment.

 

Not the 1st touch.. it is the 1st touch in S60

i can see where the problem is .. it could have been because of their customers returning their set due to earlier software problems.

now it has been almost all rectified with new firmwares

these ppl dont know how to update them could have blamed the shop and thus this problem.

i know many owners of 5800 they say its good if not great

Motorola Q's are decent Windows based business PDA's.

 

screen is quite smaller. i don't like them.

Can anyone help me with transffering my contacts, messages and calander[b'day] from my nokia n70 to nokia 5800?

 

use PCsuite or ovi suite.

 

it's written in instruction in booklep that "back preinstalled content [read userguide for more information-->userguide dvd isnt working in my laptop as well as pc]

so i need to backup 5800 too before any upgrades or installations.

backup using content copier from pc suite-->backup will work?

my pc suite is 6.x

will it backup contacts group too?

5800 backup - content copier OVI - no idea about pc suite.
there is one software cell phone manager.. it can do the work easily

i'm on 11.0.008 firmware rightnow..just purchased today..tomorrow nokia shop will be closed so asking here..

in india, newer firmware available then this? anyone knows?i've read on net someone telling it's available though i've checked for updates on my 5800 after entering *#0000#, it's not available.

 

if not available, then don't do..
check via update manager ovi suite

well, if u want to use best gadget made ever, then spend 300USD and buy an iPodTouch 2nd Gegeration.

but if u can't spend 300USD, then go for htc touch. you wont get that too in ur budget, but u can get secondhand htc touch..

if u dont need pda and touchscreen, just simple musicphone, then go for nokia 5130[6,000INR]

it's has Wi-Fi,3G,Hsdpa, windows mobile and many more...
