Suggest me a text editor :)

    My first post.. woo hoo... had to put the plug in for my editor of choice going on six years now.. 1st Page... evrsoft.com they just put out a new beta <bout time> and it's got customizable color coding fore and background... JUST spoiled me rotten, I can't see in notepad's black and white anymore.

    Just my 2C.

    For small time file editing i like pspad (www.pspad.com) - its freeware, does syntax coloring, works great..

    For project work i use eclipse (www.eclipse.org) with phpeclipse (www.eclipse.de) plugin (i'm mostly php developer)..
    Has pretty good code completion mechanism, and what i like the most is that it warns you for syntax errors while you're writing the code...
    Well on the other hand, its made in java and eats reasources. But in the end, its saves time and hardware is cheaper than your time :cool:

    Oh.. and .. I like VIM for quick server-side fix/bug smash :D

    I guess u can't use one editor for all the tasks you have... or can you? :p
