Suggest me a laptop

i am looking forward to gift my fiancé a new laptop this valentine..

As we have already purchased a 22" display which is connected to satellite tv, I need laptop strong enough to run videos and some medicore gaming when connected to that 22" lcd monitor.

I am sure integrated Graphics won't do the job, if i remember correctly my cousin runs her dell xps (model unknown) with a Apple Cinema display.

I have already spend a lot on my cloths ;) so my budget is limited to $1500 or less can any one suggest me something?

DELL company is good for LAPTOP.
If you purchased that company Laptop, you will also receive some warranty period for that product.

Are you sure the gift is for your fiance or for your self? Just Joking!!
Why don't you buy a desktop instead of laptop. Almost all laptop with core 2 duo processor shouldn't be called laptop anymore because you can't put it in your lap because the air coming out is too hot.

Hwy evrey one thanks a ton for posting your helpful replies here, i have found Dell XPS Studio best so far.. I am not a pple freak so MacBook Pro holds no options..

We live in together so whatever i get i'll be more likely using it, can't buy a PC because we plan to travel a lot this year, i'll see if i can chip in more money and customize my order with dell to add more strong GFX card
