I posted this before my people responded with Hostgator, so of I went and signed up with Hostgator, I recieved my passwords and the tech guy was helping me to transfer, the next day all went to shit they canceld me and told me they never recievd my payment I check with live chat first question, is there a problem with my payment? Answer: No , Why? I got an email asking me to pay again but this time wire transfer, chat terminated. All I got was 22 yes 22 emails after asking pay by wire. So I got screwed.

Please sugget me a NEW host who doesn't take your money and run

I think Tmzhosting is good. I have been using it for the past few months and never had any problem. You can read the reveiws on DP and decide for yourself. :)

    micfo.com.

I have been using them for over 2 years now.

    Slightly expensive, but worth it.

I used my credit card, after that I got an email saying thanks plus my account details for cpanel, the next day I was told they never recieved my payment, but my Bank tells me they have already.

    I smell a scam..................

from all the reviews I read it says you can talk to the CEO directly if there is a problem but when I asked for his email they said no.

Can you get a copy of your current statement sent out to you? You could fax this to HG to show that the payment indeed went through.

I use hostgator and godaddy. I'm really surprised to hear your story. I think that what happened to you is an anomoly, and could have happened anywhere, really.

If you paid by credit card, you should be able to resolve it through them. Tell them you want the charge reversed for undelivered services/goods.

issues a charge back on your credit card. Let your credit card know what i going on and that you did not get what you payed for.

Check the web hosting forum for hosting there you will get a better response.

Calling HostGator a scam? They have the best reviews anywhere on the web. I've been using them for a year now, and their support is unmatched. Website has never had any problems, and any questions I have ever had have been answered immediately, with someone on the line within one minute.

Sorry to sound like an ass here, but your story seems fishy.

You are going to hostgator.com correct? I'm sure if what you're saying is true, they will work with you to get this sorted out. It's not hard to provide proof that you paid.

Also, if you're using a dedicated server, I'd recommend liquidweb. They have a slight edge on prices and more options to upgrade. If you're using shared hosting, it doesn't get better than hostgator.

phaseman, what you have experienced is not uncommon actually. Although for the "masses" of people services seem to be great, however I have heard stories like yourself from VIABLE individuals. Some I know very well.

that being said, I am inclined to vote with chunnumunnu and go www.bluehost.com for inexpensive, quality hosting. If you want the entire bells and whistles including a full time IT support staff go with www.rackspace.com Fanatical! However you will pay a shit load.

Back to hostgator, if you can prove that you paid them, PROVE IT to them and ask for a refund...do what you need to do to get your money. Other than that, I would walk away.

    There are my two cents.

Survey Says. www.bluehost.com great, www.rackspace.com fanatical but EXPENSIVE :|

    Asmallorange.

A bit expensive like the one Sachin suggested, but they offer great support and service.

I've used Hostgator for 4 months and have been very very pleased. Nothing went wrong and their service is fantastic. I don't mean to accuse you but the story does seem fishy.

I think hostmonster is a good place to use, since they offer a lifetime domain name (as long as you stay with them) and 99.99% uptime. alot of my friends say they are really good.
