    I need (minimum) -

    5GB Space
    5GB Bandwidth
    Unlimited databases, domains etc.
A free domain and/or advertising credits would be good too.

    For $2.90/month (12 month payment)

I've been looking at iPage, because they give all of that + more for $2.95/month.

But apparently iPage has slow loading times and downtime.

I want an established, reliable host (like hostgator) with really fast load times.

    Good Morning Naledge,

I have also read many reviews on iPage and even though they offer all of that the loading time is terrible. Are you looking for cPanel as a control panel?

Have a great day and good luck choosing a host!

So far I have tried the following hosts

    -Godaddy - horrible IMO
    -Bluehost - ok
    -Globat - ok
-Hostgator - Hands down best I have ever used. Especially when I have had to call support I normally only have to wait a few minutes at most.

Why would you want to try the new hosting company when you already admit that hostgator is a well established and reputable host?

What kind of web sites are hosted there? Or you need web hosting account for single domain name only?

I would recommend you a local host from many sellers here instead of a big hosting company. You are referring that cheap price and come with quality (great on-time support may be) which is possible with small hosting company and not a big hosting company anyway.

I believe that there are many web hosting providers that can meet your needs, but I would recommend to read customer hosting reviews first and them make final decision.

You're kind of lucky because Hostgator is offering 50% off on Monday you may be able to get a 12 month plan for about that price. You want hostgator anyways, you said "like hostgator". With that promotion they are in your price range, but would renew at the higher price of course. But if you can't turn a profit on your hosting in 12 months you really shouldn't be in the online biz (ebooks or whatever it is you sell) anyways.

iPage has some negative reviews. Downtownhost suggested by some becomes expensive once your site become bigger. Best bang for your buck is I think MDDHosting and Froghost

If your budget is strict for only $2.90 per month then only small hosting companies around here may give you that price. You may consider a bit more around $4.5 and get quality hosting such as Inmotion.

Completely agree with you! It is much better to pay more and not to worry about your hosting service and the features that are offered than to save, feel good that one day when you saved and after that deal with hosting that is not what you expected.

I would suggest to chose one of the biggest and more trusted that are available because if so many people do trust them their domains there is a pretty good reason of that!
