suddenly pages gone from google please let me know why?

    hi,

    can anyone tell me what is this?

    few days back when i checked a site it showed...

    site:example.com it showed 150000 pages indexed

    now it is showing 98000 pages indexed..

    please let me know why is this happening?

    Google might have penalized the site, what kind of site was this ?

    if its a penalizing, you must format your site and ask google people to re-consider.

    then you can put back your site, but make sure to read web master guide lines.

    This not seems penalty to me... Sometimes Google de-indexes duplicate pages of a website.

    If the same thing continues you must check out for duplicate pages and do look for canonicalization issues.
