Something wierd going on with my site. Ever since I gained PR2 a couple of days ago I dont seem to be getting any traffic from Google searches? Not sure if its a coincidence? Any ideas? Will the traffic come back? Cheers. Andy.
I'm having the same issue. What the heck is going on? I have a great site, but all of a sudden my search engine traffic went to crap from google. Whats going on? My search engine results fell way back. In some cases a couple pages. What caused this????
google: site:<www.domainname.com> see if you are still listed... else you got banned. If you aren't banned you maybe received a penalty for a specific action
DONT WORRY .. IT WILL COME BACK SOON....... I had 40 Unique visitors from Google till April 29...May 1st onwards it became 1 , 2 , 0 , 0 , 1 ........ Now its ok....... Sometimes your site will be in google sand box atleast for 1 month...
I saw the same affect on one of my sites that relies on traffic from serps. The site went from having 'no pr available' to 0/10 in the update. So on paper I am out of the sandbox but perhaps not.... The site is very new 6 weeks old so I was actually surprised to see the traffic rise so much prior to the update. Real pain in the *&^% as I was just beginning to make some cash on it!
I wonder if it's the same problem as the one described here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=824425
yes this still works - I have the same number of pages indexed as before this happened. As I say it looks like it happened when I went from PR0 to PR2. Fortunatly I am just starting to get more traffic from Live search and MSN search. So at least I'm getting some traffic.
How old is your site? Google give a New Content Boost to new sites or pages. This Boost helps them rank well in search results. But this boost is only temporary. After some time, the sites rank in search results drop. May be you site had that boost too?
Dont worry, Google is updating the serps... in a few days you will again get enough traffic from them
same with me,,one of my blog getting 80-100 unique per day from more than 6 months but from this very 1st may the visit has gone down to 7-10.
