Suddenly No Impressions On The Content Network

Discussion in 'Google AdWords' started by Smizzl, Oct 19, 2008.

I started 10 campaigns a couple of days ago on the Google content network. All was fine and was receiving a good amount of impressions. But suddenly my impressions stopped since yesterday. From the 10 campaigns I was running, I have 1 campaign receiving approx 600 impression today, the rest 0 impressions. How is this possible?

Have you run a report on where the ads were showing?
It might be something to do with the sites. Sometimes your keywords will get a lot of coverage on a few sites because it links into something topical and popular on those sites, then when that topic has been done, your ads are also not so topical anymore.

They are a wide variety of topics and up-to-date topics and all suddenly from 900k impressions a day to 0. If it had something to do with the sites there would have been some impressions? Adwords doesn't give any sign of that there is something wrong with my campaigns, ads or keywords.

I got the same situation. Doesn't make much sense. I'm trying to decipher what happened. Have you added keywords just before it happened? Any other changes to your campaign?

well I've figured out they slapped a domain of mine. 9 out of 10 campaigns were from that domain. The slap came right after adwords was "down for maintenance". Figuring out what's wrong with the site/domain is the second step.. I think i go for a new domain name.

I did some research and figured something out. Most of my content impressions and clicks were coming from two websites (two parked domains with my keywords in the domain name). Now those two domain appear as "not part of the google network", so somehow google is not showing my ads on those two domains. I hope is temporary.

You can be slapped on the content network. What kind of campaigns were they? Google frowns upon some types.

Are you sure you have not received any email from Google telling you of any action taken?
Have you throughly checked your account for some notice or gone into the campaigns and checked all aspects to see if you can determine the problem. Inother words, not just looking at impressions.
