hi folks, i wanna know if the problem is from my side. we moved from a shared hosting on inmotionhosting to a VPS at KVChosting. i can tell u that we used to get almost 2300+ unique per day. now we are only getting 1800+ per day and this happened as soon as we moved to the VPS. also google adsense revenue decreased to few cents per day.

i wanna know if the problem is from the vps or from our side or the user's side. any advice would be appreciated. take care.

    Hi, lebspy !

I need to know that did your hosting location changed ?

Like you are hosted in US and now you are in some other country, if this is the case then you might have lost some traffic due to this.

    Regards

    hello,

if you are with the same company everything will go back in place... Its all about a new hosting (server ips and so on..)
but if you changed the company as well there is a need to look deep in this since everything had been changed. Like no69_2007's said if the location of the server is in different country well you will need to look into the seo done as well and other things as well. About adsense, more traffic means more money, less traffic means less money so its normal to go lower at this point.

    Cheers, Radu

PS i dont understand why people will not post the url of their website when asking questions about it :)

    Hey it’s normal,

just go to your webmaster tools & check crawl error if you found DNS ERROR, Connection refuse or No Response then wait for 1 or 2 week. site will come again in rank & you ll receive good traffic.
These happen after you change IP or Nameserver so don’t worry.

i think traffic down is only a coincidence for host move. The only thing that can influence is the speed of your new vps. Is it optimized properly? very often good vps, but with poor optimization works like slowly and people start saying vps service is bad and etc. i'd consider hire some professional unix admin for vps optimization.
