suddenly key ranking down

On the Particular keyword my website had been raking on first page for 1 year but now a days keyword is not in google search... can someone tell what would be happened? is it penalized by google..?

 

its happening to most of us here in DP...

 

yea happened to me , got it back in 1week

 

I think google has changed the algorithm . It's the case with majority.

 

Well, maybe google devaluate some backlinks to your site and that's why you lose some rankings or maybe google is in the middle of some update or caffeine test update. Don't panic, just wait a few days and your ranking will be back

Explain to your client in plain english whats happening and its beyond your control

 

I guess its due to the new algorithm that Google introduced with caffeine. You can see many webmasters are facing the issue.
