Implemented ads on my brand new site http://resourcebasedliving.com, and ads worked but now all of a sudden I get only public service ads, and only one at that, leaving a blank square on the sidebar. Disabled Digg Digg and fl-feedburner addons (all the rest of my active addons work ok on other sites) Also ads work on a different site. Could it be my theme? I recently imported 150+ blogs from blogspot, but that was over 2 days ago.
Did you read the Adsense help page: "Why am I getting PSAs" https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=10035 You should also use the PSA troubleshooter: https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=135867 If your site is brand new, it may be that the Adsense crawler hasn't had time to properly visit it yet:
I can't see the site as both the local library filters as well as OpenDNS (after I bypass the library filters) are blocking it as an "undesirable" site. Can't do anything with the screwed up library filters but folks may want to check it out on OpenDNS to see what occurring there. (I can't pull up OpenDNS' site either since that would giv e me the chance to change the filtering.) I don't think that Google Adsense pays attention to OpenDNS but that's the only thing I can come up with right off.
Looks like I needed a robots.txt like this... https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=10532 Hope this helps someone else in the future.
Almost certainly down to keyword density, your topics are wide and varied and this will confuse the google bot as to which ads to display. Increase the keyword density to bring them back on track. Works every time when this happens to me. Dickie
Sadly not as simple as keyword density. Had this site on blogspot for years and never had an issue. Also yesterday the ads worked for certain posts, now they don't again. Adsense says they are blocked cos of the robots file. But I have followed the instructions for allowing google in the robots file. I'm on the verge of changing themes, but this will be a real shame cos the theme I have is excellent. I just cant think what else it could be.
In majority of the cases, I see PSA when your page may contain sensitive content for which relevant paying ads will not be displayed.
sometimes it happens....so wait for a day or two....and after that maybe you could contact google..or remove them and reinsert them after sometime...
Well, the ads are working now. I put it down to a combination of time and the robots.txt file. Thanks for all your help.
