Suddenly Direct drop a lot

what cause the Direct traffic drop ?? recently Google update?

 

Actually, there have been TWO updates: The Helpful Content Update which concluded on the 9th, and a CORE Update that began on the 12th.

 

Could be the updates, or if you suddenly got a high quality back link, you could be doing the classic google dance.

 

Are you referring to the traffic source of "direct" type-in? Or a quick drop in overall traffic?
