    Maybe it just reset your ranking or something like that? If so, wait a while for it to get back to normal.

    no i'm not using alexa toolbar, my antivirus says it has malware :p

    seems now it is getting back every week. this week it is 4,166,168

    Alexa sucks, IMO anything over the 1m rank is just a guess, sites change from day to day when you get below 100k rank, this is when things start to shape up.

    it appears you never took the time to study HOW alexa gets its data and which data are USELESS.
    your method has ZERO affect on alexa rank!!!

    see alexa pages to understand how it works
    besides that - we had sufficient OLD threads on such techniques here in DP forum.

    no i never studied alexa... as such. but sure it uses popularity / content wise to analyse traffic.

    don't know now how it will work. as they only said Improved, Better, good :p

    but really why worry about alexa rank and worry more about the actual site

    I have found Alexa ranking to be so inaccurate it is next to useless. Also, it seems to become more inaccurate as time goes on.
