Sudden low traffic

Hi

Recently I have uploaded a re-design site to my server. The traffic was good for 2 months i.e. Apr and May, aprox 400 visits per day, but all of sudden Google analytics started showing very low visits - hardly 6-7 weekly.

Can you please provide the list of possible reasons for the same.

Check your rankings. Maybe they dropped.

 

also check how many pages is indexed. Did your redesign involve changing URL's for the pages without redirecting from old urls to new urls?

 

What was your main source for webtraffic? If it was a particular search engine, you may have dropped in the page results, and so your clients can't find you so easily.

 

Wouldn't Google Analytics be able to answer this question for the website owner? I know they offer "experiments" for trying different content to see which one works. Also, I have heard changing the content frequently keeps repeat visitors coming back.

 

check your traffic source. may be your ranking was down

 

It is the matter of ranking. Check your site ranking may be it dropped and start SEO again in high quality sites.

 

First you check your site targeted keywords for which position in all search engine if your site keyword is fluctuating so do work in Link Building its helpful to increase traffic.

1. Down of main keywords Ranking
2.Down of SERP
3.low off page activities

 

you should modify your content.

 

Did you submitted sitemap.xml again after uploading new design. Check the status of sitemap.xml in webmaster tools, and if required submit again. Also make sure that there should not be any crawling errors in webmaster tools.

 

You must of changed content or urls of your site because design would not effect 2 month steady traffic over night.
