Sudden increase in number of pages

I currently have 442 pages indexed on Google on my site, the number stay same for the last two years.

I am going to add another 2000 pages with unique content on it, not rewritten articles or content grabbed from other sites.

Will the surge in number of pages alert Google Bot and resulted in my site being penalized?. I just want to be careful on this.

No i don't think so. If it is unique content google will not penalize you.

Don't worry. I don't think that there is any penalty for adding pages

i dont think you will be punished by google (if you dont steal articles from other web sites). you mention original articles. this is good for you

 

IMHO, add the pages, you should be fine. Provide internal navigation via links to the new pages from existing pages with dofollow html links for googlebot to follow to find them, and add the pages to a sitemap and submit it.

 

No, if your content is unique there is nonthing to worry.

 

Actually search engine like new pages with unique contents so as far as your content is original unique and far form any delicacy then I hope their would be any problem in adding new pages

 

nothing to worry about, you will be fine with that.... if you were adding 2,000,000 new links it would be an issue, but not pages.
