First of all let me know if Google was down for sometime. I have noticed a sharp fall in traffic from Google on my blogspot blog. This all happened over night. I checked the Google webmasters and saw that my blog was last indexed on 22 July. However traffic reduced to 1500 uniques from 3000 unique views within 24 hours. What is this I don't understand?
maybe due to changes popularly known as google dance.. Updates are on the way at data centers so hope for the best. Just concentrate on content and backlinks
Check if you have done something wrong for which google can panelize your blog.. duplicate posts or something like that.. http://www.webmindz24.com/seo/tools-to-check-if-your-website-banned-or-penalized-by-google.html also read the above article..
There are few posts on the blog taken from other sites but I have back linked them. I think this isn't the cause.
maybe google has adjusted something in the algorithm that is now bringing down the relevance of free hosted websites
Hmm as you i can't understand why that happened to you, maybe you have done something wrong, but since you say you did nothing bad, i assume problem must be from google. It might be from all those PR updates
There are less posts as the blog is new.. posts can be similar to others as u search for something on google and u will get thousands of results to ur query but all are not copied from each others.. posts are not copied.. cause for ur problem can be google dance.. wait for some time to get back the prvious traffic.. good luck
My traffic spiked starting on Friday and now I am starting to understand why. No difference in googlebot - steady as ever, but more referrals from GOOG.
I didn't experience any wild fluctuations; just the update to displayed PR, which went down. I don't think actual traffic or appearance on rankings was influenced
Recently, I also experienced a drop in traffic for my sites and it is because my site's search results ranking has been changed. See if your site still have the same ranking in Google or not.
My site is based on highly competitive keywords, so rankings often fluctuates but have never seen drop as like this before.
