sudden drop

Hello, recently i've seen a sudden drop in my earnings, i mean for yesterday - there were MUCH less clicks, much less CPM and lower CPR. No idea why, but diffrence was huge (in terms of earnings it was 70% drop)
I can see the same thing happening today - also, when i enter my page, i cant see any ads anymore (it used to be full Google Ad window of it, or at least 2-3)

now its 0 (i suppose my earnings are not 0 becouse some people click at ads on my other pages) but the main page was my profit-maker.

Now since i heard about this problem i thought everything will solve itself in a day, but now its second day and its even worse - now its like 80-85% drop comparing 2 days ago, and i have NO idea why.

code is ok, content is like it was, but no money at all. :( Any ideas?

might be that some of the advertisers you usually get have stopped their campaign.

I have the same problem. EPC has dropped 60%. I am still getting the clicks on the same pages, but the value of each click is 40-60% less.

I think it is advertisers migrating to other programs

If you're still seeing the clickthru volume, (ie EPC issue) then that's what's happening - the advertisers have trimmed their campaigns.

The only other possibility is that minor changes have led to different ads being shown, which have lower yield.

It may be time to look around a little more at affiliate ops.

    Cheers,

    JL

Or more likely-- Google is taking a larger cut. Probably to pay for it's new Adsense/Adwords affiliate referral program... Most people I've talked to have seen major drops lately in Adsense-- not their websites' performance-- just the $$$...

Hm, I'm almost glad to see I'm not the only one experiencing this..

Around the same amount of clicks the last couple of weeks, but only 60-70% of the normal revenue now.. :(

It seems to have dropped February 11th/12th for me(and stayed down)... About 60-70% of former earnings with the same level of traffic/clicks/etc.

Earnings are way down this month for me too. About the same number of clicks, less money. I'm planning to start giving my affiliate ads much more exposure than AdSense. It just hasn't been doing well enough lately.

I agree. I've already started to increase my Affiliate ads-- I just wish I could hit on some that are as successful on http://www.nesfiles.com/ as Adsense has been... :(

but my drop is so huge that it is hard to believe. Today i almost hit my record in terms of visits/page views _BUT_ it is also a "record" of worst earnings.

My CPM dropped to a number that you wouldnt believe - let me say, that you pray to not have such EPC (really). becouse it is almost the lowest you can get at google. (very close to it) even tho i had a lot of page impressions and it is in google stats, it something completly strange. my earnings now are 1/10 or less of what it was 2-3 days ago.(i already had very low EPC, CPM and such) so from 100% i have 10%. yesterday (compared to 2-3 days ago) it was 50% drop. i fear tomorrow...

Juice, has your SERP ranking changed drastically?

The reason I ask is because I'm testing a term and noticed that a few days ago I was on page 1 for the term in question and was pulling in about 3 times as much as normal. This lasted for 3 days. I then proceeded to drop to page two, then off into oblivion, then back to page two. I haven't seen earnings like before (I'm still at my normal earning schedule).

Same here, the impressions are at same level, rather it has increased a lot but CTR has gone down like any thing. Noticed this post 11-12th Feb.

I don't think EPC relates to SERPS

hmm  Earnings Per Click (EPC). A click is a click under the keywords you are promoting. Whether your ranking is good or bad should, in theory, have nothing to do with EPC? But this is G's theory. So I could be wrong.

I've been thinking the same myself the last week..
The number of indexed pages in google have changed between 11,000 and 25,000 many times the last couple of weeks now, and it does actually seem like I earn more on the days when I see more indexed pages...
So maybe google doesn't pay good for pages that are in some way being sorted out/penalized from the SERPS..
(even if there's no reason why my pages should be that..)

It may be just a coincidence, or maybe not...
Only big G knows the answer to that.. :)

I have recently deployed 50,000 new webpages on my largest AS domain...around the same time as my earnings dropped. You may be correct

There are too many others with the same issues, though.
