I wrote "remove from the list". Not remove them as backlinks. This means keep them. You need to remove from the list GOOD LINKS and then go through the crappy ones. I think this is really coming back to my original point (pay a bit closer attention to what's before you).

Good luck with sorting out your site, mate. I think I'm grumpy early on the morning (I work night shifts and it was towards the end).

 

While sorting the list I found that many of the sites have closed. So should I upload these links also in the txt file for disavow tool.

 

Also my keywords dropped down from top 10 to top 30..ti think this is because of new Google update of 17th Jan.

 

But I did not receive any notification in webmaster tool.

No mate, these links will eventually drop off, so you don't need to disavow them. If you have a lot of links to check through, then it might be worth considering looking for an URL checker and then checking only the ones that still work (return a http status code of 200, anything else probably means it's gone one way or another).

 

People shouldnt use "disvow" unless your aggressively doing seo.

Look at this and listen to what he says.

Did you actually get any links removed before disavowing and making a reconsideration request?

 

No I was not aware of the penalty so I thought that it was due to content change. So on that basis reconsideration request was send.

Suggest any tool(free) which can let us know that which site is penalized?

I didn't updated any content. But my site keyword ranking has affected previous week.
