Sudden drop in earnings but traffic?

Hi Guys,

Has anyone been noticing a sudden drop in earnings for the past few days? Mine has dropped almost 35%.

My traffic has also dropped to about 75% with my rankings still stable. Is it due to the global recession?

Anyone else having the same bitter experience?

Everything is fine with me.
Most websites have their up and down periods.

Traffic is around the same except about a 20% decrease from a week ago.

I would say to just build more backlinks.

 

Just few days is normal, global crisis not happening since few days ago.

My Earnings Went Up ---->

 

Earnings were drastically falling on a big site (gets millions of uniques/month), but I cut out 2 of the 3 adsense spots that weren't clicked on as often (leaving the highly-clicked one), and my earnings ROSE to higher than what it was with all 3. Gotta keep a higher click rate, which gets you more ppc as well ironically, which then filters out the bad advertisers, which then gets better ads, which gets you a higher click rate, and it spirals upward from there. I'm only giving adsense about 50% of the rotations on that one spot, where as before it was 100% of all 3 ad spots, and now it's earning me MORE than it was before. Insane. If anyone experiences their earnings coming back from the drop, I'd like to know.

 

My earnings 20% went up since last 10 days.

 

I still enjoy the same traffic, but earnings are unpredictable and fluctuate all the time.
