Hello Guys .. While going through my website Analytics, I noticed a sudden drop in bounce rate of my website (few yrs old website) from 52% to 6%. What could be the possible reason behind this ? Its good for my website but i am confused about the drastic change Traffic Details: November - 397082 visits - 6% bounce rate October - 384278 visits - 52% bounce rate Help me to find the reason behind this or is there any probs with Analytics ? Regards
Congratulations. I think you have made your content trustworthy to the users as well as to the Google.
yea i know that's good for my website but there should be some strong reason behind such a drastic fall ... any ideas or guesses ? Please share
If you'd just updated your site's on-page - say design, content, navigations, etc, then the drop of bounce rate is a sign that the change is good
and if you had not made any such changes then you need to share more details of your site so that we can help you.... also does your website is related to some gifts ideas or purchasing then it's general as it's seasonal traffic
6% bounce rate is awesome to have. One of my website had around 12% bounce rates and when I changed the home page design it flew up to around 48%. I had to roll it back, but the 6% did not return. Now it averages around 8-15% month on month.
Well it really is strange. No matter how good you've made your site for users, a drop of 46% of bounce in 1 month is unlikely. It might have something to do with the SLL update Google recently have. Check how many of your entries are from this KW: (not provided).
Bounce Rate decreases when visitor start to stay longer time on your website or you can say that spend more than 10 seconds on your website.
Have you made structural changes to your site? For example, do visitors now access your content through some sort of landing page? I wouldn't worry about it; a low bounce rate is good.
hi, There is no need to worry about it. Low bounce rate is good for website. it would happened because of sudden changes in your website or because of trustworthy content that you have posted on your website.
maybe you changes something in the design of your site or maybe you changed hosting? I saw a similar drop a few months ago but that was when Google announced changes in GA.
I havent changed design or hosting of the site till now. There were changes in GA look n feel and the features .. that wont affect site visitors or bounce rates or anything related to the visitors count
Decreasing of Bounce rate is good sign for your website. Might be you had changed your website design with proper keyword optimized content so visitors are able to stay in your site and serving from one page to another. You need not to worry about it.
Even I noticed sudden drop in bounce rate, from last 15 days. For one of my blog, it is showing Avg 6% bounce rate which was before around 52%. I changed nothing to my blog. Recently any updates arrived?
