I think 1 pound per click at least and 15 is too many that's why its occur. Please check your desired provider and call them that you face some that type of problem.

Hey Marklcfc- How are you? There are two very likely reasons for this sudden decrease in earnings for last month.

    A. Timing. Most advertisers spend a great deal of cash to advertise their products/services online at various times of the year. Depending on your niche, last month might have been the most active advertising month of the year for your niche. Advertisers spend a lot of money now, then lower their pay per click budgets for several months. If this was the reason for the sudden slow down, the good news is that you now know that most January's will be a good month of earnings for you.

    B. Advertisers have noticed many clicks come from your site, with no purchase follow-ups. Being that your forum is busy, many impressions are likely, but what is important to the advertisers is the results of the clicks. If many clicks are coming from your site, with little to no business, advertisers will begin to take notice, and the higher paying advertisers have the option of excluding your site as a source for advertising. In other words, even though the ads appear to be the same as last month, the actual advertisers (the high paying ones) may no longer appear on your site. It happens all the time.

A simple solution to correct this matter is to avoid placing ads that encourage clicking by just about anyone that visits your site (ie. ads mixed into articles), but rather place the ads in simple to see, but clearly noted as advertisements on your site. Being that your site is busy, and the traffic is there, there's no need to have advertisers believe that any kind of fishy business is going on at your site.

    Best of luck to you.

Probably lesser advertisers, so the CPC got less.

I heard that a sudden decrease in earnings corresponds to a sudden increase of site crappiness

Adsense earning will always fluctuate. As you can never tell what people are clicking on your ads, you cannot also tell how much you'd earn the next day. But you can give an educated estimate.

My earnings range from about $0.4 to $2 per click with adsense.
Maybe some of the advertisers stopped using the service and thats why you're not earning the sane anymore.
