Sudden decrease in earnings

I had my best ever month last month. (over 2 million impressions)

But this month, my earnings have dropped no end. I was getting on average £1 a click a month ago. Yesterday I had 15 clicks and made £4.70. The ads that are displaying are the same as they have been for a while.

 

You need to tweet something in your blog our bring more backlinks into your blog...

you mean to say that you get 2 million impressions and you are earning $1 per month...or I am wrong..

this is normal dude, wait for few more days and check again. I read here about this kinda stories many times.

 

Track it through your Adsense page so see what's going on.

 

Maybe some of them considered as invalid click or repeated click by the same visitor

 

I don't run a blog, it's a busy forum. So not sure what I can do.
I got 2 million impressions last month (my busiest month ever), and earnt a reasonable amount. My site is still busy now but I'm getting much less than before last month.

I don't think its that, I've monitored it abit and each click is giving me a max of 0.30p, I used to get so much more just 4 weeks ago, I don't understand the change in that time.

Yeah, I hate it when sometimes you get $4 for 5 clicks and at other times you earn 25 cents from 5 clicks

 

OP - i have noticed the same thing.

Last month was a record setting month for me as well, now this month started off good, but about a week or so ago, my CPC dropped from an average of .75 to about .30 and CPM down to 1-1.5% from average of 3%

I have this crazy idea that when google needs to "make up its quarterly/monthly/weekly" financials they take a bigger piece, i mean whats to say you're getting $ for Every click? maybe they don't even report 10% clicks - imagine how well they can control their revenues.

Also i never seen google report earnings that differed that much - on average they always report close month/month earnings while we (webmasters) get checks that aren't that close sometimes.

i dont loo at the cpc much , i all i measure is ctr and eCPM . cpc is changed with advertisers bidding for your ad spots ... so it varry

 

How many daily uniques? Are you promoting via Twitter and facebook?

Ya, thats what we call Google "smart pricing".

 

Still getting a decent amount of clicks daily (11) but only £3 to show for it.

 

You could diversify and find affiliates who appeal to your forum users' interests so not all revenue is based on google adsense pricing

 

get almost 1000 backlinks and then try....??
