If you have a successful web business, or have created a detailed plan and are executing it as we speek, what has been your strategy? I'm curious to here some of the ideas out there - - have you started an information sales pipeline, leading from a small intro product all the way to coaching? - are you in an intermediary between vendors and consumers? - do you offer subsciption based information or services? Or a combination there of? I'm talking about a "real" business, where you are providing original information and services and have goals of growing it in the same field in the future. No offense to Adsense or Bum Marketers - I know those can be lucrative, but that's not what I'm talking about - So let me here some ideas - let's throw this one around and I'll put in my 2 cents - thanks
I created a long business plan ... long time ago. Nothing happened. Then I saw a shorter business plan that they had in south park: 1) collect underpants 2) ??? 3) profit! I just switched "collect underparnts" with my passion (that would be "games"), and started taking tiny steps every day. I thought I'd figure the "???" part along the way. So far it has been good, and getting better and better.
I like your username because it describes the work ethic you should have to be successful online. Go hard or go home! One business model which has worked for me is being an intermediary between vendors and consumers, selling direct advertisments on the site. Adsense was a bonus.
ahh - so true! That's my business plan as well - sort-of - My passion is fitness, and my career is personal training - I'm structureing my model in the traditional Information Product format - starting with a free product, to low priced product, to higher priced product, to live coaching. However, in the new competitive age of information product, I must continue to prove myself off-line by growing my offline business, paracticing what I preach, and networking. Info-conusmers are so smart these days that if you aren't doing that your long-range chances are bleak.
