Took me 2 hours to write a script that runs on a monthly cron that exports my shops into Froogle. Cost: maybe $100. Revenue? Thousands...

    It works very well.

    Hi Tops

I have just registered a feed & uploaded products to Froogle.

Do you know how they determine in what order they return the search results ? I cant work out any pattern and seems totally random ??

I have worked once in froogle for someone. It really good to use and more than worth of devoting time on froogle. Those who have product to sale must use froogle. I strongly recommends.

in the UK froogle is currently listing in order of positive feedback (perfectly acceptable-bummer if your starting out tho!) the positive feedback is based on shopzilla.co.uk reviews so I'd get signed up to shopzilla (wonder if google owns them!) also if you wish to rank well in froogle uk.

I get the impression it's related to your real rankings for that URL. I also add the product title (optimized) to the start and the end of the description.

Bizrate owns Shopzilla and Shopzilla have the worst customer service in the world and far beyond. They have crap conversions too. I'd recommend to steer away from their comparison engine. May be useful indeed for the ratings but I haven't seen much added weight from them in Froogle. I rank very well and have no ratings anywhere.

In the UK froogle has had some impact on our site, but not too much. Setting up the feeds was easy as we had that already for price comparison sites, but as you dont get click reports / tracking from froogle, its hard to measure its success - but it's free so not a worry!

If you have control over your ecommerce software you can easily track Froogle referrals yourself. Either via HTTP referrer or just add a unique ref ID in your URLs in your feeeds.

Real figure, probably per quarter though I haven't looked it up across the board in a while. The last 7 days alone I count at least half a dozen sales which totals to low 4 figures.

Bottom line is, people do use Froogle for there shopping searches.

Yeah, I'd say that gadgets, consumer electronics and such would do particularly well on Froogle given the demographic of users. Having said that, I have had a few sales through Froogle for specialized giftware ... maybe it is becoming more mainstream.
