How to Prospect Successfully. Hows it going everyone! It's J. Here. I'm still reading this awesome book, its called "Superstar Sales Secrets", authored by "Barry Farber" Every chapter I come across has some really juicy stuff, and its helping me sooo much. I couldn't help but break it down to the basics in my own words. Cause I know it will help you all! If your going to read a book, I really suggest reading this one! Well here it is, hopefully you get the same value out of it I did. 1. Always prospect Basically, the more people you have to connect with and build a customer relation with, the more you will sell your product. If you leverage yourself to the point where you can have more prospects than you can handle... Closing multiple sales on a daily basis will become much easier. Because if one doesn't fall through, then you have many others to work with. - Have many different fronts of obtaining leads, Ex. Video, Valued Content, Direct Contact, Paid Advertising, Social and Viral Stability... If you get a system set up where a constant flow of traffic is accessible, you will be in a powerful position. 2. Does your Prospect Qualify Make sure you target customer who have the most likelihood of buying your product or service Use your intuitive judgement, based on there qualities to determine whether they would need your product or service. Put yourself in a position where you know your product can help your prospect. 3. Relationship Building Treat the people you contact, or are contacted by like they are already your best customers. If you treat them as a prospect, you'll discourage them. But if you treat them as though you've already sold to them before, (Indirectly), then you will treat them in a way that would otherwise give you a comfortable presence. 4. Understand denial comes with the profession. When a potential prospect completely shuts you down, disregards what you have to say, or preaches their own product/service and shows you a negative attitude. Don't worry about it, move on. Chances are they aren't doing very well and if you can keep them connected to you, eventually they will break down and ask you how your making your business work so well. This in turn allows you to turn them into a customer. "If your not getting a lot of rejections, your not working hard enough." 5. Mistakes are lessons learned rather than failure. Instead of getting stressed out, ask yourself what you can do differently next time you engage with a prospect to better initiate there interest. Never consider the mistakes a failure, or else you will keep failing. Take the experience and use it to change your approach for the next time. 6. Feel comfortable selling your product/service If you truly believe that your product and/or service can really help somebody. You will be way more effective at pitching it and selling it to your customer once the time comes. Knowing that it will help them will make you way more positive when working with them. Not to mention you'll always want to be selling because you can actually leverage the ability to help people. Make sure you sell something that best suits your needs, and your customers wants. 7. Have organized list's of who to contact. When you begin your daily routine of contacting people, you want to be sure your research and the quality of your prospect is going to increase your chances of success and save your time. If people message you interested in what your doing... They should be at the top of your list, and then you can begin working with others that are less likely to buy. 8. Don't hesitate to move on. As you continue through a conversation with a customer/prospect, make sure that you know your not wasting time talking circles. If you get that feeling they aren't going to buy, or that the conversation isn't really going anywhere. Move on to another prospect, that brings you back to the 'Always Prospect' this way you always have multiple people to talk to and increase your chances of successful selling. Just A Couple Quick Reminders. - If you put more into your sales career, than you think your going to get out of it. Eventually your success will become inevitable. - You want to keep your customers for life, you want to attract the ability to build relationships. - When you meet someone, you should be interested sincerely about what it is they do, and who they are. - Never push yourself on people. It will only push them away. - You want your prospect to be positive and productive. - Don't try to manipulate people, the positive prospect response will come when they desire to know more about your product/service. - Introduce yourself with the desire to have them introduce themselves. Learn more about them before even mentioning you have a product. - That will scare them away. - Never get defensive, gather information and show your true interest. - If they are not interested right at that time, maybe they just don't believe, or trust you. Build that trust and consider a prospect that wasn't sold right away, a potential investment over time. _________________________________________________________________________________ That's it, I figured I would keep it short and right to the point. I really hope this helped. I just wan't to let you know I have never been in sales before, I have only been 'Network Marketing' for about 3 months now so as I write this I too am also learning. But I have implemented these guidelines and they are working for me. Some of you more experienced sales people, and marketers may find this unworthy but for those of you who are 'Amateurs' or 'New' to the industry, I really think this can benefit you! I appreciate and value any feedback, support and of course 'constructive criticism' Thanks for reading! Make sure to find me on Facebook, or You-Tube to stay connected on my journey as I reveal all the wisdom I learn as I make my way to the top! I know I won't fail, I am to persistent. I hate seeing others not make progress and really enjoy helping people get results! Take it easy everyone! Always keepin it real. Peace out, J.
