Hey guys, I wanted to start a blog of my own, but everytime I think of a possible idea, I find that someone else has already done it. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems unless you have some sort of inside knowledge on a subject or have good sources where you can get more information than the average person your blog won't go anywhere. So I ask you Successful bloggers out there: What is your blog about and how did you make it successful? How did you make your site unique so it set yourself apart from other bloggers? Thanks!
Write about something close to your heart. Many people would have already tried out various niches, but if you genuinely like the niche, there is no reason why your blog cannot become a leader in that section
Post something great...to do it u have to write on own niche....and before writing analyse for more time...provide all relatd thing in same post......my blog is not so great b'coz i've about 5 or less such great posts....but if u have about 50 such great posts...that'll give u about 15000 pageviews per day...and a huge no. of backlinks.....
definitely CONTENT is king. if your site offers good content then readers would bookmark your blog and gets excited everytime you publish a new post.
Well, i am new at blogging things but i can suggest you. I do blogging with my mood. i only publish articles about my favourites and thoughts. I do blogging of my interests and the present situations that i feel. Means, do blogging in what you feel you are superior and smart. If you can write about making money then that a good option too. if you are good resource to wildlife then thats also a good option. Make your own style.
1. Keep to uptodating content on your blog 2. Keep to gaining backlinks to your blog These are keys to make Google loves your blog.
1. If there are billion blogs about the topic you'd like to write about, skip it. Chances are you'll get eaten by bigger blogs. Choose a niche that isn't covered that much on the internet. There's enough different people in this world who seek all kinds of things so don't worry about the traffic - there's enough for everybody. 2. On the other hand, if you're passionate enough about a certain subject and you can write quality posts about it, it doesn't matter if there are gazillion blogs about that, just go for it. If you can write and know how to attract people you'll get lots of readers because people will probably subscribe to you and unsubscribe from someone else if they like your posts more. http://marketfederation.com/index.p...-invent-the-wheel-choose-your-niche-properly/
- Write extremely well - Keep things brief(ish) - Use multimedia content (video/pictures/flash) in at least 50% of posts
Well, I don't think that it's an end. Certainly many people would have blogged about a particular thing, but just give it the touch of your own opinion and it's something new that has never been done by anyone else. You're not exactly wrong at this point, but your blog can make a difference if it represents you, i.e. your personal opinions and views on different issues and topics, no matter you're an expert, you can rock while being a learner in a field as well. Hmmm, I'm not that successful blogger, but have a good readership. My blog is all about my views. I've a list of general categories and write what I'm comfortable with. As far as keeping the site unique is concerned, just visit other blogs and have an indepth analysis of them. Then note the missing parts of those blogs and include all those missing parts in your blog, it'll certainly rock Regards,
I stated a new blog on the 10th of this month and I added new content daily and i'm getting around 2000 uniques already. So contents is King!
Hello, Everyone has already mentioned great points about finding a niche/something you like to write about although sometimes this is easier said than actually done. If you're new to blogging and just want to get your feet a little wet and find out how you even like writing on a consistent basis, just start writing articles [somewhere - online or off] and see how it goes. You can always timestamp or release your articles when you've think you've found something that you could see yourself writing about long-term! It's also important to remember that content is definitely king, but the frequency of your posts matter just as much too -- a blog with great content is awesome, but dead-to-the-world if it's not updated. Best of luck!
Just make yours better. Seriously. Well, of course, you must like what you are writing about... I saw another good idea - try writing posts prior to creating a blog and see if you manage to keep up. I'm doing this for one of my projects (well, I have the domain name and the design is almost finished) to make sure I have enough fresh content (must post every 2 days or so). Good luck
I am only getting 100-150 unique hits daily on my blogtantra.com and people are talking about 2000 hits. oh my god. I am feeling so poor.
I get less than 10 uniques daily... i have no idea what to do.... at least some of them (like 30% is all google love)
Actually the most important thing about being a pro blogger is to write interesting things, the subject doesn't really matter. Write about what interest you and don't think so much bout the money. If you're any good the money will come.
Good one. I agree. and if we can write good article then even the unique hits gets higher like mine. I just started my blog 2 weeks ago and i am getting approx 200 unique hits.
the key is to make an ass kicking content and then help it travel through the web via Blogs, forums, article directories, social networks, bookmarking sites you name it - Spreading the BUZZ
You'll be lucky to find an idea that no one has done. I wouldn't look for something that is 100% unique. Find something that you're interested in doing and see if there's enough people searching for this. If there's a lot of competition then you'll have to do a little research to find out what makes the existing sites successful and see if there's anything that you can do that they might be missing.
