I just wanted to give a heads up on a bum marketing campaign I tested last December. The last week of December, I wrote five articles on identity theft and submitted them to ezinearticles.com. After a couple of weeks, I uploaded those same five articles to my website. Within three days of the five articles going public on ezine, I made $100! I had four sales in three days! Sales dropped off after that and I made $120 for the month of January. In Febuary I made $60. Keep in mind, I hadnt done a thing to the site since December. March came along and I made another $100. Again, I hadnt touched the website since Decemeber. I made $100 off something I did 3 months prior. To make a long story short, since submitting those articles in December, and without touching the website, I have made $680. Not bad for two hours worth of work. This month I have already made $60. Imagine if I had been writing five articles a week on the subject! The problem I ran into was finding new ways to write about the same subject. I hope this motivates some one to jump into article marketing. The returns for me have been great, as it didnt cost me a penny.
So, do you think it is the niche, or the article marketing that made this test so successful? Looking at my traffic, I am still getting about 20 visits a day from ezine.
I just wrote an Article on Identity theft and submitted it to ezine. My website is http://www.swipetek.com. That is where I will be selling the products, right now I am just putting out pre-launch Articles to build a little "buzz". Anyways, I'm curious as to what you were selling?
I certainly wouldn't play down you ability to execute the plan. As far as I can tell there are a number of critical factors that go into the success of an article. Things such as the title, body content and resource box all have to work well in tandem for the article to be effective. Having said that, if you pick a market where people are not buying it will all count for nothing so that is why I picked up on that aspect of it in my other post.
I think many people overlook article marketing as a great source of traffic. It is all about researching many keywords then putting out a large number of article to fill these voids. It does take some work but can provide you with some quality traffic for the long term.
