I'm launching a BlogTalkRadio show Wednesday (May 23rd) The third show (June 6th at 6pm eastern time) will be dealing with online PR. While it won't be covering press releases exclusively, they'll certainly be covered. I have no particular guest in mind for that show to contact, so I thought it might be a good idea to see if anyone wanted a mention or possibly a brief discussion on the show. If you've had success with press releases (I don't care about what distribution method you used, but you'd have to have received some pretty significant media coverage to be considered), I'll use you as a short case study on the site / blog I'm putting together for the show, so you'll have a link at least, and I'll mention the best one or two examples during the show (letting you call in to talk about your site and the coverage if you'd like to). If you're interested, here's what I need to see first: 1. The press release (you need to have a version online, b/c I'd need to be able to link to it on the blog / site for people to see what brought the results). 2. What significant coverage did you get out of it? Were you granted radio interviews? An interview with a major metro newspaper? Significant coverage in a major online outlet (social media coverage, like the Digg homepage, doesn't count)? Thanks! EDIT: I forgot to mention the links. Main blog the show is attached to: www.ChickTech.net Main blog / site for the show (won't be ready till early next week): http://talk.chicktech.net BlogTalkRadio Page for the Show: www.blogtalkradio.com/chicktech Jenn
I am sorry to interfere in this thread. I just wanted to ask you whether you are planning to discuss other marketing techniques that are being used, like buzz marketing, marketing on blogs and so forth. I would be really happy to acquire the link. Thanks in advance and good luck. It will definitely be of interest to many people.
Yes, I'll be discussing a lot... not just about marketing though. I have the show schedule lined up pretty much through August, but have a lot more I'd like to do, so after the first few weeks, I may add a weekend "extra" show, and maybe focusing those more specifically on marketing would be a good idea. Here are some of the show ideas already slated (although the order may change depending on whether or not I can line up guests): 1. Introductory Show 2. Promoting Niche Websites 3. Online PR Basics 4. Web Writing Fundamentals 5. Creating and Marketing E-Books 6. The Future of Web Directories 7. Paid Blogging - Blog Networks 8. Creative Self Promotion on the Web 9. Creative Website Usage (interesting reasons people become webmasters) 10. Forum and Community Building 11. Online Promotion for Offline Businesses 12. Making Money Online: Finding Web Writing Gigs 13. Online Press Release Distribution I'm certainly open to hearing suggestions for specific shows to add. Buzz marketing is actually just PR (getting exposure and word of mouth buzz), so that's the kind of thing that will be discussed in the Online PR Basics show. Blog marketing will actually also be touched on in that show, b/c blogs are one of the primary online PR tools. Wanna be a Guest? I do have people in mind that I'll be contacting over the next few days about being guests / interviewees on the show for specific segments. Obviously, some aren't going to be able to depending on their time zones, work schedules, or b/c they simply won't want to. So I may very well need substitutes, or even second guests for a show. So if you have expertise on one of those subjects, feel free to contact me at to let me know, and I'll consider you if I need someone for that show. I'm going to add the link to the original post... can't believe I didn't do that, so thanks for pointing it out!
