I was looking at flippa.com when I noticed a person selling a review website that was doing really well selling warrior products. It made me reconsider my tactics. Currently I simply create mini websites for affiliate marketing. The main keyword usually being the domain name. However the site was brandable, not keyworded but still had a lot of traffic. Do you think a review style site can outrank keyword domains if proper SEO is done Also would it not be more difficult to rank for keywords due to restrictions on deep linking with directories? So the main method would be PR art, articles, social bookmarketing and blog comments I would guess. Anyone have any experience in this, no need to reveal a sie of course, jsut wondering if others have had success?
Yes, it can be succesfull. Concentrate on 1 main kw and put up to 4 products on one page where you'll compare them. Write it from personal pow and visitors will be more inclined on buying your products.
They can work but have become something of old. I have much better succcess with one product reviews. Actually buy the product and do a full review on it though. If it sucks move on and find something similar that is good. Then I like to go after the keyword on the product that sucked and let people know "X" prodcut is better.
Can work really well, always good to diversify with the programs you promote too, but I would say stick to one area, so weight loss; and promote lots of different weight loss products, I'm not a fan of the big clickbank review sites that review everything, I like to keep it more focused. Also for sure, a brandable domain is fine - with increased content, once you have 50-100 pages then you will be able to rank very easily for various review terms and product names - doesnt have to be a keyworded domain at all.
I love multi-review sites. To me they are much better than 1 review sites, which seem like more of a sales page than a review. If you can review 3 or 4 products (good reviews) and even compare them, it gives the visitor more assurance they are getting the best product, instead of just one product your just trying to sale.
A single review site with the keyword in domain is much easier to rank, usually. However, a single site that does multiple reviews can rank really well too. But you will need to make sure you do all the on-page seo for each individual posts/pages, and need to do a little more seo as in backlinks. In the long run, if you know what you're doing, then this type of site will bring in more money and much more traffic. I actually have a few blogs where I do some reviews once in awhile, and even without any backlinking, I can outrank single review sites for their keywords. I'm guessing because my blog has more authority and trust than the single review site. I will lose those rankings quickly though if I don't add some backlinks to those posts. Why not have both. Create an authoritative type of site with reviews or "money pages" on it (make sure you add some high quality content filled posts too) and create single review sites. Single review sites don't take very long to set up, especially if you get a system down for your seo that you can do for each one of your sites. You should have them ranked on first page, and first position, within a month.
