Subway - Eat Fresh With Blade

A New York man, John Agnesini, claimed that he was nearly cut when he found a knife baked into the bun of a cold-cut 12-inch sandwich he bought at a Subway restaurant in New York City.

John Agnesini said he knew his lunch didn't taste right and he was horrified to find a 7-inch serrated blade in the bread.

Subway restaurants spokesman, Kevin Kane, said food safety and customer comments are taken "very seriously" and that the company is "investigating the facts."

ah lol why would they do that tho? it takes like 30 seconds to cook the bread then like 10 seconds to pick what you want and another 20 seconds to get a drink. i think they would loose money if they did ready made subways.

I worked for Subway for a year once and they are an amazing company operated by private owners who are franchisers trying to have a successful business. Unfortunately fast food companies have to hire inexpensive labour which means they might hire some sicko who would do this, just like the sickos who poison dogs in public parks, as we've had here in Toronto over the past few years.

This shouldn't make Subway look bad. I'm waiting for the demands for metal detectors before an employee can hand a sandwich to their customer.
