Hi, I am planning on opening a subtitles POSTING website... like a directory in which everyone can post his desired subtitles... is it illegal ?! Cause I'm not making these subs ... only givin' people the opportunity to post theirs... Thanks in advance.
depend where subtitles are get, if theya re provided by users of your site themselves then I do not think there would be any problem, as long as you do not break any copyright laws
Depends on the country. There were a few cases where subtitles site were taken down for copyright infringement. Pretty stupid but real ... You can find some examples on TorrentFreak
it's highly stupid and dumb but yes some sites were taken down for providing subs for copy rights infringement consider it this way if it moves , or even if it does not , it is is copy righted according to some ppl just find a right host in far east and or some in e.u , and you are good to go.
