Substitutes for Ebay Partner Network

I recently purchased some startup sites with phpBay installed. I have signed up three times with EPN, but they have rejected me...I am not optimistic that I will be accepted as I am new in the mainstream business and generating very little traffic.

Any good auction type affiliate programs out there besides Ebay? I hate Ebay anyhow having delt with their screwy "customer service" over the years. I had heard the EPN is a very good program, though...didn't realize it was so hard to get in.

Amazon is a great suggestion. But I've heard that the EPN is actually setup to automatically reject people...as crazy as that sounds. I was recently rejected too...my suggestion is to give Ebay a call and explain your business plan and why the EPN fits. It worked for me so it's worth a shot.

Amazon has a really good affiliate program. I think it's even better than EPN if you ask me. Some people say that sometimes EPN bans affiliates for no reasons at all...

Anyway, it could be a myth IDK, but the affiliate program offered by amazon is pretty good ;)

I was rejected from EPN at 1st too - I replied to the email and they rejected me a 2nd time. I replied again with a little attitude telling them about my business and that it was not a blog and not link farm or site loaded with affiliate links - they approved me! I did add new privacy section to policy page (to comply with adsense rules) and pointed that out in the last email so that might have been the problem.

I also pointed out the amount of sales I do through paypal - I doubt that they could verify it but I mentioned it anyhow.

I also explained what I do for advertising and how we were a perfect fit as well as telling them I had no plans to advertise for them what so ever - I expressed i would generate sales from spillover traffic to my site when customers could not find what they were looking for

I was truly shocked to get rejected and disappointed big time as I look forward to playing with phpbay - I know I am late to that game but very optimistic. An amazing looking product
