I'm just looking to see what everyones approach is when advertising their directories... when you buy new text links.. do you just subscribe for it monthly or do you try to settle a payment for 3-12 months so you don't have to worry about it..?

    Comments appreciated :)

    Depends on value and deal.

If any discount on long term I would consider it.

Expensive high page rank I would go for monthly, they could lose PR and normally you don’t get refund.

Both works for me. I don't worry if its subscription but 3.5 months it is some burden to advise all the people who have paid for it sending PM or e-mail if they still want it or not.

I'd say 3 month subscription or month to month.

When you go yearly ... Who knows what the future may hold or how long your link will be there. I'd be mighty annoyed personally if I paid a year and 2-5 months later it closes down, changes ownership(and the new owner has poor ethics.) etc...

    P.S Nice New Design Terry!

Monthly is the better option I believe so I can keep track of what is going out vs what comes in more accurately.

Unless there's a good deal for prepayment, I do monthly.

Well, it's definitely monthly subscription. However if anytime you get discount on long term deals then it is best to go for long term deals. :)

If X is the price of one month deal, then
an ideal discounted price for an year should be 10 x X :)
So that is like getting two months free! ;)

i try to check the best way ..

mostly for yearly stuff because that way u pay once and u r done with it ....

but expensive sites i try to go subscription wise because i can cancel it if i m out of funds or something.

Well --I like the long-term settlement -considering the owner of the site. If it is a renowned site --I try to negotiate long-term because I know my links won't disappear quickly. but if the site owner is unknown I would normally favor --short-term or what is called monthly subscription.

Yes--Terry thats very clever of you:p --Lol--how far you wanna go --? you already have enough G baklinks -over 5k. Now I would like you to concentrate on some really high PR backlinks --PR8/9. You don't need many of them --just few will do.:D
