Subscribe to thread - Bug?

I have by default set to 'Do not subscribe to Thread'. If I make a forum post, I normally set it to 'Subscribe by instant email'. However, this seems not to be working, as I am still not subscribed to that thread. Is this a known bug?

 

you have to unsubscribe by the subscriptions option in your user cp

 

Maybe I was not clear what I meant -
In my global settings, I have set Notification type - Do not subscribe. Now, when I make a forum post, I change the Notification type to Instant email notification for that post. However, even when I do this, it is still set to Do not subscribe. As such, if I have made many posts that day, I tend to forget to see if there are any replies for a particular post.

 

by subscribed do you mean you arent getting any emials?

 

I don't know how to make myself clear. By default, whenever I make a new forum post my post's Notification Type is set to Do not Subscribe. I always change that to Instant email notification. In spite of doing this, the Notification type remains as Do not subscribe and hence I get no emails. Now if I edit my forum posting by going to Advanced options; I change it to Instant email notification - it then works.

I tried this and this was an issue with me as well.

Though, when I was on instant email in my profile, and I check"Do not subscribe", it worked out.

 

Same here. Looks like a bug to me.
