My site ranks pretty high for its main keywords. Its primarily a sales page. At the bottom if have maybe 20 links (anchor texts) to articles which are all on seperate pages. Each article is optimized for a long tail phrase / keyword. These articles are not getting indexed. How do I get them indexed, and how do I get them to rank high?
You would probably need to get some backlinks for each article. Those articles are probably in Google's supplemental index due to a low PR. If you gain enough authority for your domain, the links from your homepage may be enough. By the way, your website's live chat popup is quite annoying.
Create a SiteMap and submit it to Google's Webmasters Tool. Also try to get links to each and every article with having anchors of keywords on which you want to rank higher.
Are those article unique? If the only difference between pages is the optimized keywords, the SE can see through that.
creating sitemap is fine but there is no need to submit that to google webmaster tool. if googlebot visits the site often, then the sitemap will be indexed over tme anyway. @OP, how often googlebot visits you site? you can do some social bookmarking submission to get more frequest visit from googlebot which wil help your articles getting endexed
