My website index page is PR4, it was #800 or so few weeks ago in G, then started getting up and got #29 in all datacenters for keyword phrase.

Few days ago I noticed that a subpage with also PR 4 (linked several times from the index page, 3 months old and has no other IBls, and with the keyword phrase in its name) appeared in SERPs on #655, and since then that page is slowly but steady replacing index page in all other datacenters...

Yesterday I delete all extra links to the subpage from index page, plus place a link from subpage to index pahe with keyword phrase in anchor. I will wait for a few days and probably then will have to do something like renaming the subpage. I just started get some traffic from G when was #29, and #655 is not what I am dreaming of :(

Does somebody else have similar situation? Any ideas why this could happen and how to solve the problem?

    thanks!

optimize your index (better) for the anchor text ibl's and get get more pointing towards your index you might even end up with a 2 page listing.

But what is wrong with the 2nd page?
