DMOZ is accepting submissions. Just find the correct category and submit your site. For quicker inclusion, please write a guideline compliant title and description.
That might draw attention to the submission if the editor who sees it has a sense of humor....personally, I wouldn't risk it.
I want to whether anybody get his website approved in DMOZ since it started acceptting submission. Anybody here?
Nope, but didn't except it to happen either, most submissions are to obscure categories plus one in World which has drastic editor shortage, I've also sent some link to my former categories in hope to at lest keep them updated but I it will take time for these obscured categories to get checked.
I got into DMOZ just 2 days ago. I think they accepted my Oct request. They also accepted one of my clients sites 1 weeks ago. So it looks like a 3-4 months wait which is not that bad. I think i'll go out tonight to celebrate the inclusion in style. It was close to a top level i've ever gotten. Supremely happy.
it seems to take forever getting listed in there, and even when you do get listed the traffic from that directory is very small
Are you suggesting that getting a listing should be a reason to stop resubmitting? That seems a little narrow-visioned to me.
Once a site is listed in ODP, resuggesting it to a different category is against its submission guidelines and squanders resources. If you want to risk being deemed a spammer and being treated accordingly, go right ahead and follow minstrel's hint . (This post ignores possible eligibility for a listing within the Topical branches and within the Regional branch.)
How is asking a question sniping? You say that submitting to more than one category contravenes submission rules. In the next breath you say that submitting to topical and regional branches is perfectly fine. Both of those statements cannot be true.
