With the art of SEO always changing, what is everyones thoughts on submitting one of your articles linking back to your site to these "blog networks" of like 100+ blogs on different IPs? Do you do it? Some quick advantages are that you have the possibility of building a LOT of backlinks in a quick amount of time and improve your Technorati score by quite a bit really quickly. Some disadvantages I see is that if your blog is like PR3+ it may hurt you in overall SERPs and PR because the blogs on these blog networks usually do not have very good PR. So, overall, what are your thoughts on submitting articles to these big blog networks? Good? Bad? Your thoughts?...
I have decided not to go for that route. I have setup a blog on our domain and adding content every 3 days or so. I submit this to Digg and ping technorati, google and others with the new content. The blog does not have PR yet because it only went online this weekend so it missed the PR update. But I think that keeping the blog on your domain is good because it draws PR to your domain. As long as you submit the articles and people read them, does it matter to the public where the article physically sits? Probably not. But it is more beneficial for you for the traffic to come to your domain
