If submiting a simple small video (with a link to our site) to many video sharing sites, is it Risky to submit to LOADS on the same day, which can risk to be seen as spammy by the search engines? (Just like submiting a website to loads of directories/ or getin Loads of incomming links over a short period of time) for example, submitting to 40 video sharing sites on the same day, would that be spammy? if so, how many a day should we submit maximum (if we were to spread this out over 3-4 days?)
what is the purpose of posting your videos? If you have 40 genuinely relevant videos which provide the users with valued content that will drive traffic toward the site, then by all means post 40. If you have 1 video a day that offers NO relevant or useful content to the viewer, then it is spam and an abuse of the service. It has more to do with the content than the frequency. The fact that you're asking for an 'acceptable number' here leads me to believe that you don't already have this thing we call 'discretion' which indicates to me that the majority if not all of your videos will be spam anyway, no matter how how much time passes between postings. Here's the rule: only post when you have something NEW worth posting, and you'll never be spamming.
Normally when I see a question like this in a forum, my natural reaction would be to say yes. However, the way videos can go viral, I suspect that 30 or 40 links appearing on the same day would seem quite natural for a search engine. I'd be more concerned over hundreds or thousands.
