Submitting to Social Bookmarking Sites - Article or main page URL?

    If I've got a new website that I am trying to build backlinks for, and I am submitting it to DoFollow social bookmarking sites, should I be submitting the main URL, or one of the articles on my site?

    idea is to submit your story page which is actually your article deep link. but you can submit main page as well
