The back link collecting by PR0 pages are absolute okay, but be careful and you should always check their cache status. If a PR0 or > is out of cache you can't get none benefits.
The way I see it, you should be able to get your links on PR0 fairly easy. In the long run, the directory will increase in page rank with your link still attached.
It will hardly effect anything. A link is a link though, but make sure it isn't from a harmful or disreputable site. That might effect you /negatively/
I would say go with the exact opposite. Generally speaking submitting to a gazzillion new directories is a waste of time because 80% of them won't be around a year from now. I would take a link on a 1 or 2 year old PR0 directory any day over a dropped domain piece of garbage with a PR3....chances are you will be on a page with a PR0 anyways so why not be on the one that will be around long-term. Check to see that a directory has indexed pages and you are good to go.
i agree with this..also,keep in mind that pr is not everything.a link is a link..make sure its in revelent directory/category and you will be fine
And keep in mind that PR is a Google thing only. The other search engines don't measure PR, so it doesn't matter to them what PR the directory link is.
PR is meaningless anyway, but it won't harm. Plus, even you were submitting in a PR7 directory, chances are your link will be in a PR page. Focus on SERP, that's where the money is...
I have several sites that I only submit to new dirs which have no pr and they are doing quite well... I really think people need to get off the PR train because PR is an outdated dinosaur that really has had its day. Its no longer important IMHO...
Always check the directories for beign indexed by google. There are lot banned directories in free lists
