Yes, Getting your site submitted to Google news is great. I have a news related website and have 15 reporters writing articles for me on a daily basis. I get around 3 million visitors from Google news submissions each day. Traffic is enormous!
What kind of news stories are you talking about? Won't any of the big news channels have the same stuff? I was just curious how Google ranks your blog compared to a much bigger news site.
