submitting to dofollow article directories for PR juice?

I am trying to decide whether it would be wise to submit the posts on a new blog I started to article directories that allow duplicate content (as long as you are the author) like ezine.

My primary reason in doing this would be to increase my PR on those blog post pages (by linking to them from the article submission sites).

I am also wondering if any article submission sites allow you to submit, for example, only half the article and then put a read more link to the rest of it on your blog or website?

I wouldn't go there if I were you. The search engines might rank the post/article higher on the article directory meaning that your copy would be considering duplicate content and probably not rank at all.

I don't think that many directories would accept only half an article. It needs to be able to stand alone and make sense. But you could make a teaser in your author box. Write that you have a follow up on your own site or some kind of additional ressources related to that particular article.
