Submitting to Directories worth it?

    Nowadays only good directories are worth submitting most of the available ones are crap and of no use..

    directory submission works well
    1. it gives back links
    2. it increases traffic
    3.it helps to increase your PR up to certain limit.
    4. site will be easily cached by major search engines
